Maybe it's just because someone in our party bought him a six pack... It doesn't help with his drinking problem, but it sure did make him pleasant to deal with.
I see the other reviews about the rv park owner and clearly he is a problem. We are decent people just trying to make a transition in relocation. Thanks for being a total jerk dude.
I called this site for my spouse to stay there for work in a motor home for 1 or 2 weeks. Within 20 minutes after speaking to Randy he called me back and said he was raising his rate by 200$ extra because he wanted to. Knowing my spouse has a good job, he was trying to suck more money out of us. My spouse drove up to the rv site and let Randy know he was going to not be staying there. The same day I get a voicemail on my phone from an exceptionally rude Randy. Telling me that my spouse made him wait because he said he would be right back. This is a bold face LIE. He said my spouse isn't setting a good example representing his company he works for. Not to mention his voicemail to me was childish and inconsiderate and mildy threatening. My spouse isn't a liar and did noting of the sort. He didn't stay there because of the rate change after Randy so kindly "changed it"
Terrible service from randy, he walks around half drunk all the time, stayed here while I was in the area working and he came over and yelled at my girlfriend one day while I was gone at work. After that he came up to me one evening screaming at me while my 2 year old daughter was in my arms. He was screaming about my dog, because she wasn't on a leash. The dog was literally sitting in front of the trailer, a 4 month old black lab puppy. Needless to say, I took my family and money elsewhere. DONT stay here! There is a way nicer place about 25 minutes up the road, called big twin lakes campground.
Blissful setting on the methow river....has camping spots as well as RV spots with hookups..reasonable rates.
Other than the camp host, it's a great place to camp near chelan or Winthrop with your family. It has a nice little beach, a volleyball net, and horseshoe pits if I remember correctly.
Not a bad place. Maybe not as good as some expect, but I did not experience anything like what people have described, sure, the camp host starts tipping the elbow pretty early in the day, and he is concerned about conserving water and electricity. But he has always been nice to me and those I have stayed here with.
Made reservations to stay here for Memorial weekend. Arranged plans with a dozen friends, had everything setup. The night before my reservation, at 11:30pm, this Randy guy calls me up acting crazy, and said he was cancelling my reservation. I still have no idea why he cancelled our reservation, although he kept complaining that he knew what type of people we are and that we would be partying and stuff. My group is a bunch of middle-aged professionals looking for a quiet time, so that was completely bizarre. So, thanks Randy, for being a complete jerk and ruining Memorial weekend for a dozen people by waiting until literally the very last second to cancel our plans. This person is completely untrustworthy, is not good to his word, and is crazy. He actually insulted me on the phone, and was yelling at me. At 11:30pm. The night before my reservations. What a truly awful experience and a terrible person.
